The current standard of care relies on physical agitation to gather bacteria, inevitably triggering the gag reflex in pediatric patients. If done correctly a sample is collected from both tonsils. This often results in a 15-minute delay as clinicians manage uncooperative patients, leading to inconsistent sampling and false negatives.
Strep-Detect introduces a single-use, aerosolized diagnostic. By safely coating the throat with a specialized chemical wash, we capture the necessary biological data without trauma or physical contact.

Once the diagnostic spray is applied, there is no waiting for a rapid test strip to develop or a culture to incubate. The sample remains exactly where it is.
Using our proprietary handheld light device, clinicians can instantly identify the presence of Strep A. The chemistry binds exclusively to the target bacteria, creating a highly visible fluorescent reaction. You spray, you illuminate, and you have your answer in seconds.
A Global Issue Left Unchecked.
Of the 600 million cases of strep globally, only 1/3 of those cases are being tested. That means 400 million people aren't getting the care they need, are frequently missing school, and are being hit with the economic burden of not being able to go to work or infecting more people.
We want to change the game. To date, there has been no at-home test kit available for purchase because no one wants to swab either themselves or their kids. By making testing easy and fast, we're taking down the barriers so we can start getting rid of Strep altogether.
